We specialise in finding and analysing the gaps a business has when it comes to cybersecurity, and then we tailor a solution to help plug all those gaps within their business. I'm Paul D'Intri, Managing Director of FusionRed.
We first met SherpaTech through industry events. Finally, an insurance broker that actually specialised in tech.
Previously, we were passed around from insurance to insurance companies because they were a part of the big guys, or it might've been a specific, say, insurance broker, but they were a part of a bigger group of insurance companies that just didn't get tech. I don't know any better. It's kind of like the same thing with FusionRed when I'm advising our clients when it comes to technology strategy or cybersecurity. That's my area of expertise. But I kind of felt like the people that we're working with, they just didn't understand how our business operated.
In the event that anything goes wrong, I want to make sure that our business is covered. We could do something just by error. We're a team of 15 staff, and someone may do something wrong which could impact the business, or it could be someone that breaks into our office. I want to ensure that we have the right policies in place.
We travel a lot around the country and also internationally, and we were buying travel insurance as we travelled. And working with Tim, he sort of said, "Hey, do you know that you should have this type of policy within the business?" And that saved us thousands of dollars a year. We got one policy that covers the entire business, all the staff, no matter where we are and what we're doing.
What's great as well, and this has happened, looking in particular at cyber insurance, right? We had a bit of a scare, and it's great that on a Sunday, I picked up the phone and called Tim, and they were there to help.
I know that even between renewals, we still keep in touch because I know policies can change, and I can pick up the phone and call Sherpa and get the right advice of like, "Hey, this is what we're doing," and have our insurance policies adjusted on the fly.
The relationship as well that we have is not just in between renewals and we get shoved a bunch of paperwork. Yes, we do get the paperwork, but we also get stepped through that process as well. With our previous providers, it was like, throw us a bunch of papers, then they kind of forget about you. And then at the last second, you're scrambling to try and understand something you have no idea about, but don't have the support at the same time.
A lot of risk relies on our shoulders, so our name is tied to the business itself. So not only is it important that the business is covered and our team's covered, or our operation itself, but also from a personal standpoint, too, that I can feel comfortable that we've got the right policies in place. It's holistic. It protects the business, the team, the operation, but also myself and my family as well. I can just focus on running the business and working with our clients, knowing that we've got those safeguards in place.
